I stumbled upon this coffee shop while exploring London, and it quickly became one of my favourites! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming — perfect for both catching up with friends and getting some quiet work done. The coffee is excellent: rich, smooth, and clearly made with care. I also loved their pastries — fresh, flaky, and delicious. The staff are genuinely friendly and take the time to make you feel at home, which makes a huge difference. You can tell they’re passionate about what they do. Whether you’re a coffee lover or just looking for a relaxing spot to unwind, this place is a gem. Highly recommend!

Genuinely one of my better experiences in London. Tom and the team were really helpful and informative. There's a few decent cafes in Borough. It seems like a good place to hang around for coffee. I met Tom at the scenery, and he told me to get over to Origin. I'm glad I did. We served their Las Margaritas at City Saints in Melbourne, and it was one of the best coffees I had all year. The cafe was busy and vibrant, with a good flow of customers. They seem to have a good crowd there. The coffee selection is very good, but I wish they had some of the fancier coffees on the shelf. I'll definitely go back here. It was interesting and the staff seemed really interested in what they do. Daniel made some great coffees, too. Thanks for having me.

I love Origin Coffee! Their attention to detail makes every visit special. The coffee and matcha are top-notch, and I really appreciate how they serve water with every order—it’s such a thoughtful touch, perfect for cleansing the palate and enhancing the flavors. Not sure if it’s also to counter caffeine’s dehydrating effects, but it’s a brilliant idea! The ambiance is cozy, the staff are friendly, and you can tell they’re passionate about their craft. Highly recommend this gem for anyone who loves a true specialty cafe experience!

The combination of relaxed atmosphere + good specialty coffee makes this place more than just a grab-and-go. The presence of filter methods (batch & pour-over) means you can slow down your coffee, which aligns with a relaxed visit. My batch brew Aponte was smooth, mellow, easy to drink. Place is good for solo visits, catching up with a friend, or even a casual work session. Ask the staff for the pour-over method they’re using (V60, Kalita, etc.) and for the flavour notes — they were friendly during my visit and seemed keen to share. Batch brew may change frequently — if you like a specific profile, ask when the next filter brew will be available or see if they allow you to pick your brew method. Overall Verdict If I were to score it in informal terms: This is a very good coffee shop : relaxed atmosphere, nice music, competent baristas, and filter coffee options. A recommended spot for a good coffee and chill session in London.

Really loved Origin Coffee! The space is modern, cozy, and super inviting. I had a latte with brown sugar (they didn’t have vanilla syrup, but it turned out amazing). Smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced. Friendly staff and great vibes all around — definitely worth a visit if you’re nearby!

Great flat whites with very nice cakes and cookies in a pretty fab coffee shop in a railway arch. The service was friendly and very good, and the venue atmosphere relaxing and enjoyable. Origin Coffee Southwark is definitely worth the legwork if you are anywhere in the Southwark area - or even further out. Origin Coffee Southwark is now one of our staples to visit whenever we are in London.
